Day 21 - Man who wrote the dictionary

So my title for the day is about as exciting as my day actually was. Mary and I had our literature class today which only raised my stress level higher...we went over a few poems that we were assigned to read and although interesting, I just feel lost. This class seems like a review for English majors and a totally advanced class for non-English majors. Anyways, we are learning from our other classmates, but it's starting to feel like we're the annoying girls who don't understand the material and are constantly asking questions.

After class we went into London to find some lunch and headed to our field trip site which was Samuel Johnson's house, the guy who wrote the dictionary. Basically it was this old house that Johnson used to live in, although between that time and now it was rented out to other people and used for storage, the pieces in the house are not all actually his, there are just pictures on the wall of him and his friends, and the dictionary that was shown was a replica...so to us it seemed a bit pointless...a few of our other classmates seemed to find it interesting so I don't want to discount it completely but it was just not my cup of tea.

We made our way through the busy streets of rush hour London and finally ended back at our dorms. Today has been a rough day, I just feel exhausted and sort of tired of getting through the large crowds of train stations and London itself...its starting to feel like when you've spent a whole day at Disneyland and you're at the end of the night trying to get through all of the crowds and all you want to do is be at home...sort of how I'm feeling right now. I think it's just a culmination of exhaustion, hunger and stress from class today. Tomorrow I go with my other class to Stonehenge and Bath which I'm really looking forward to!

Time for some ramen noodles and perhaps some Bachelorette if I can find it : )
