Ok so I've already been slacking and started my blog a month ago...maybe more, my goodness how the time flies, and I am just now posting my first craft I made in my crafting spurt! I'm struggling with finding the time to do my crafts, so many things are pulling me in a million ways, but fortunately crafts is more like a gentle high five that entices me to partake...so I'm doing what I can with the time I have.
Anyways, here was my first project...I made these cool bib necklaces in hopes of feeling anthropology-ish when I wear them and what do you know, I do feel a big antrhopology-ish. I found the tutorial on how the make the flowers from this AWESOME craft blog (madebylex.com) and it's really easy. All you do is cut 10 circles out of fabric, fold them in half, string them on a thread and sew it with a cute button or bead in the middle. Sooo easy! All I did to make the necklace was sew them onto a piece of felt and then I sewed two pieces of ribbon to the ends to make a necklace. Easy right??
I made two versions...one in a sort of monochromatic look and another in white and grey. Here is a close up of my white and grey one.
